She was my first Dobermann. I got her when she was a year and a half old, very thin and badly beaten by her former owners. She had also been badly bit by their other dogs.

After the work I did and all love we all gave her, she recovered in a surprisingly short time. I remember her as a positive dog that always stood up for me if needed. She loved all her puppies and took care of them in the best possible way. She was very pleasant to work with
and passed her charactertest with no problems at all!

Her workingspirit is something that I feel that she has passed strongly over to her kids. She would have made much more as a working-dog,
if I as her trainer had had a least some targets and any intentions in competing…

I´m very happy with her as a breedingbitch , all of her children can be considered HD and PHTVL/PHPV free and very nice in character, and those are the things I still value most. One of her daughters, Mamres Camouflage, won the open-class tracking Finnish Championship in ´99, in the Finnish Dobermann Club championships. This bitch has also found to pass over a very strong and true working-character to her puppies.

I´m very happy that I got the possibility to have Bambi´s last born, the female Mamres Hazy Shade at home. What a dog to work with!

We had unfortunately to give away Bambi a way too soon! She got a bad injury in her knee and it forced us to put her to sleep at the age
of seven.´i´m happy for the life we lived together, proud seeing the joy of living passed on to her children and grandchildren and thankful that she in her own loveable character gave me the inspiration to this wonderful breed!

JK1 MAMRES HAZY SHADE

Rhonda",as we called her, was born to a litter with only three puppies, two males and "herself". It was the third, and last litter of her dame LADY´S TRICK BAMBIINA, and I was of course eagerly waiting to have a female out of this one. Especially when this was, and became the first and last litter to be born in Finland by the gorgeous male Graaf Gojak V Neerlands Stam.

The males was born first and when I already had given up hope, seven hours after her brothers, she was born!! I had promised a "friend of a friend" to have a female puppy, as soon as I got one in my litters. She had been waiting for this puppy in one and a half year, and here she was! Unfortunately it didn´t work out as I had imagined. After some difficulties at the age of 10 months Rhonda moved back to me.

quickly figured out the main source of all the difficulties; it was the very active, hectic and quite dominant temperament of hers. We came along fine, until she thought that she had to take over the lead and that her mother, six year old Bambi was "nothing" in her opinion. It was followed by bloody fights, more often than we could bare and of course it was quite a exhausting time for all of us.

Finally our decision was that Rhonda had to move. We found her a home in northern Finland. A couple that wanted to have a dog to work with. It seemed as an optimal place for her! But.. I don´t know where the interest in working suddenly disappeared, but even the normal life with this dog seemed to be too much for them. Rhonda was behaving very dominating, she wanted to decide
about people visiting their home, and they just couldn´t be (in their opinion) mean enough to get her to stop behaving just like she wanted!!

Then again, Rhonda moved to me, and this time for good! We had to arrange our living a little, because Bambi was also still living with us. It meant that I had to move to my parents house and live there with Rhonda. It just lasted for a couple of months, because that December we had to put Bambi to sleep.

Rhonda was a dog that you just had to work with! She loved it, gave always 100% of herself, and expected me to do the same. She´s got "it all" and she would have had a working career to envy, if it wasn´t for me? We competed in tracking just two times. She won her second competition and got the right to move up to class II.

Rhonda had to be put asleep 2000 when she was hit by a car.
She never got any puppies, a thing that I deeply regret.

It all ended too soon and I still miss her, always will.. The Dog of my life!
